Is Sadik Hadzovic On Steroids? We Discovered the truth

DOES SADIK HADZOVIC USE STEROIDS?

For decades, bodybuilders and athletes have been using anabolic steroids to help them burn fat, build muscle, and enhance their athletic performance.

In fact, at some point in history, not only were anabolic steroids used to enhance performance and aesthetics, they were perfectly legal. Androgenic anabolic steroids were prescribed by national governments and offered to members of the Olympics teams to give them a competitive edge.

Now, while rumors of shady dealings with Olympic teams and steroids with some governments, taking steroids is a highly illegal practice. In the olden days, taking steroids was comparable to giving an athlete a whey protein shake after training.

However, as more extensive research was conducted, scientists realized that prohormones and steroids were highly dangerous, which led them to be banned and considered illegal. When did making something illegal stop people from using it?

As a natty bodybuilder, there is only so much muscle one can gain without using performance enhancement drugs. Well, those endowed with outstanding genetics can develop more muscle and appear bulkier at a low body fat while being stronger as well.

Steroids increase muscle protein synthesis. As a result, they increase the positive nitrogen balance, placing the body in a highly anabolic state. Consequently, one can build more muscle within a shorter period. What’s more, steroids reduce one’s recovery time, thereby increasing the frequency a muscle group can be trained within a week.

In the olden days, bodybuilders used steroids to recover and build additional size, while also observing aesthetics. However, today’s bodybuilders abuse steroids, insulin, HGH, among other compounds, to appear bulkier. Unfortunately, today’s bodybuilding judges give more importance to mass as opposed to aesthetics.

Can you tell if someone is using steroids? Well, when it comes to some people, it’s blatantly apparent that they are on the juice. However, some bodybuilders have more naturally appearing physiques, making it harder to tell if they are on the sauce.

Consequently, we’ll try to answer the ubiquitous question, “Is Sadik Hadzovic on steroids?

Legal Disclaimer

We must start on the right foot. The following information is based purely on speculation and should not be consumed as the gospel truth. Secondly, we have no ties with Sadik Hadzovic and are neither interested in promoting or slandering him. Thirdly, we have no evidence to prove that Sadik is on the juice or has been using.

The following information is merely for informational purposes. We do not condone the use of steroids and hold nothing against any bodybuilder who uses anabolic steroids.

Who is Sadik Hadzovic?

Sadik Hadzovic is an American bodybuilder. Hold on. He is originally from Bosnia & Herzegovina (Former Republic of Yugoslavia). Since he moved to the states, the bodybuilder has won 4 IFBB events, including one at the inaugural Arnold festival in 2015. He is also a four-time men’s physique champion.

Sadik is probably famous for his appearances in the men’s physique division at the Olympias, where he has placed second twice, losing to his nemesis Jeremy Buendia on both occasions.

The men’s physique category is for the men who are rocking the aesthetic look. They are muscular guys who’ve attained a v-taper and a small waist. They are not as built as the IFBB’s elite bodybuilders. However, they are still pretty jacked when compared to the average gym rat.

What’s surprising is that regardless of their large muscles, these guys do not weigh much. For instance, the champion Jeremy Buendia weighs close to 164 pounds on stage. This only goes to prove that if you have small joints and a tiny waist, your muscles do not have to be huge, to appear huge.

After losing to Jeremy Buendia twice, Sadik Hadzovic decided to switch to the classic physique division, a category that requires models with more muscle mass. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like his switch to a perfect physique has helped him achieve his dream to win the much-coveted Mr. Olympia title in his category.

Sadik Hadzovic Stats

Observing a bodybuilder’s stats keenly can quickly tell you whether they are on steroids or not. Well, in Sadik’s case, here are his statistics.

  • Height: 5ft 11
  • Competition Weight: 190 lbs.
  • Off-Season Weight: 210 lbs.

Here’s the point of contention. There is no doubt that Sadik looks like a Greek god. How did he achieve this perfect physique? Is he among the few who have managed to attain a Zeus-like physique naturally? Does he use legal steroids? What is Sadik’s secret to success?

Get this, Sadik’s form is so impressive that he is usually compared to Frank Zane, aka the Chemist, from the golden era of bodybuilding. If there’s something Frank Zane was known for, it is his perfect symmetry. Besides, it is believed that Frank Zane, together with other bodybuilders from his era, was on the juice.

Below are Frank’s statistics.

  • Height: 5ft 9
  • Competition Weight: 185 lbs.
  • Off-Season: 200 lbs.

As you can see, Sadik is five pounds heavier than Frank. However, it is justified, considering that the former is two inches taller. This makes them almost identical in size and symmetry.

Given that Frank was said to be on steroids, fans and would-be fans find it hard to believe that Frank Sadik has achieved his physique naturally. However, this is no way to make an argument when proving that someone is on steroids.

During Frank’s era, bodybuilding was a young sport and wasn’t taken as seriously as it is today. What’s more, today’s bodybuilders have the added advantage of technology on their side. As such, someone like Sadik can attain Frank’s physique without indulging in steroids.

Sadik Hadzovic Poor Diet

When Sadik started with fitness, he wasn’t sure about his muscle-building abilities, considering that he was somewhat underweight. As such, he thought it would be difficult for him to build muscle.

What’s more, the bodybuilder was too focused on training and did not have proper dieting practices. Like the amateur he was, he thought that the harder he trained, the more muscle he’d build.

Sadik was shoving down more than 2000 calories down his gut but wasn’t on the right diet at the time. Later on, he discovered that by spacing out his meals and focusing on high-quality proteins, and generally paying more attention to his food, he responded better to his training regime.

As a result, he devoted more time to learning about diet and nutrition, and as you can see, it’s like it paid off.

Sadik Hadzovic Genetics

Before Sadik joined professional bodybuilding, he was a model. Check out the photo below to see what he looked like back then.

Sadik had a well-built physique even before he stepped on the Men’s Physique stage. Interestingly, he is still more or less the same size. If not, he’s not added much muscle today.

This isn’t a guy who woke up one day and decided he wants to become a professional bodybuilder from nowhere; you know, blow up and gain 50 pounds of muscle. The truth is that he had bodybuilding genetics from the word go.

Sadik Hadzovic Controversial Transformation

Recently, Sadik received a fair share of hate from fans and would-be fans after he posted a photo depicting his transformation from 2012 to 2016 (before and after pic).

Check out the photo.

Well, he does look considerably bigger in the 2016 photo.

However, it is quite easy to make yourself appear bigger by flexing your muscles or even getting a colossal pump in the gym.

A few weeks after he uploaded the controversial before/after pic, he posted another one of the same timelines. However, this time, he had assumed a more relaxed position.

Let’s see how the photo compares to how he appeared in 2012.

In the two pictures, he’s in the same position, and you can tell that he hasn’t gained much muscle mass within four years. This is typical for a natural bodybuilder. It is the pose in the first picture that caused then controversy; it created the illusion that the bodybuilder had gained a great deal of muscle.

Anyway, the only noticeable difference is that Sadik was not retaining as much water in 2016, and his conditioning is much better, with improved muscle definition, especially in his delts.

Conclusion

So, is Sadik Hadzovic on steroids? Well, our verdict is that he is natty.

You know, when it comes to some bodybuilders, you don’t even need to take a second glance at them to realize that they are on the sauce. Most of these bodybuilders, including some IFBB pros, have flushed skin, crazy vascularity, massive delts producing a 3D effect. For some, it’s so bad that they have a steroid gut that makes them appear as if they are pregnant.

However, when you analyze Sadik’s physique carefully, you’ll realize that he has no apparent signs of using steroids.

Overall, most of the evidence we’ve looked at points to the fact that Sadik has some outstanding bodybuilding genetics. Consequently, there is more proof indicating that Sadik Hadzovic is a natural bodybuilder.
