Is Steven Cao on Steroids? We Investigated and found out!

DOES STEVEN CAO USE STEROIDS?

Getting ‘swole’ seems to be all the rage lately. Young men all over the world are in a rush to grow some muscles so they can fill up their t-shirts, with the hope that the ladies will geek and gawk all over them.

Young women too are not too far behind either. But, at least the ladies are not keen on pushing it to the absolute limit the way guys are.

Nonetheless, after a few weeks in the gym, it starts becoming crystal clear that there’s no chance in hell that you will look like Simeon Panda or Ulysses Jr. in this lifetime. You realize that all the motivational BS your favorite ‘fitness models’ feed you on a daily basis is just that, BS.

This moment of reckoning usually comes after several months or even years. You have been doing everything right, yet your abs are barely visible.

Unfortunately, when it comes to building muscle as a natty (natural), it can take years upon years of dedicated lifting and strict dieting to even look half as good as those fitness models you follow online. We hate to break it to you, but most of those guys are on the sauce, aka steroids.

It is easy to see why; their livelihood depends on how aesthetic they look. The more ripped someone is, the higher their chances of attracting followers on social media. The more followers that you have, the higher you're earning potential since you not only stand to make money from the programs that you sell them but also attract big-time sponsors as well.

However, all this depends on your ability to maintain your high-level physique. You can see how all that pressure can make anabolic steroid use seem like a lovely idea for anyone looking to make money this way. Moreover, even if you are on gear, claiming to be natty is the best way to go about your business since you will be selling your followers an ‘achievable’ dream.

It is for those reasons that we believe most fitness athletes on social media are on some sort of enhancement.

Are you looking to know whether Steven Cao is on steroids? This article aims to determine the likelihood of this social media sensation being on the sauce.

Who is Steven Cao?

Steven Cao is a 24-year-old bodybuilder who has made a name for himself for having one of the most aesthetically pleasing physiques the world has ever seen.

Standing at 5’10” and weighing between 185 and 200 pounds depending on whether he’s cutting or bulking, Steven is one of those guys that pays homage to the Golden Era of bodybuilding. The Golden Era refers to the 60s, 70s, and 80s, where bodybuilding favored aesthetics over mass.

As such, Steven Cao competes in the Men’s Physique category. Steven’s physique is certainly a sight to behold. His V-Taper, especially, makes him look like a bird that’s about to take off. Arnold would be proud.

It is no surprise, therefore, that the young bodybuilder has been able to amass hundreds of thousands of followers and subscribers on his Instagram and YouTube accounts.

Cao’s impressive physique, however, has not escaped the eyes of critics, who swear that there’s no chance in hell that the young bodybuilder could have possibly attained such a physique naturally.

Nonetheless, without any concrete proof, any allegation lodged against Cao is baseless. As such, even in this article, we will not be able to prove that Steven is on steroids, but we will try our best to come as close to the truth as possible.

Is Steven Cao on Steroids?

Unless we take Mr. Cao’s blood sample to an accredited third-party testing facility and have him tested for all enhancements under the sun, there’s no possible way of telling whether he is or isn’t on steroids.

Our approach, therefore, will be based on comparing Steven with the most common signs of steroid use, which include:

  • Massive Gains Within a Short Period

This is arguably the best way of telling whether someone is on the sauce. Gaining lean mass is an incredibly difficult endeavor for anyone, regardless of their superior genetics and workout & diet plan.

The only time when someone gains muscle at an abnormal rate is if they are a beginner. As a beginner, your body isn’t used to stress (exercise) and, therefore, has not developed the necessary muscle structures to support such activities. As such, the body adapts to the new changes by developing muscle tissue that will aid you in those efforts.

This is why beginners display rapid muscle development during the first months of working out. Moreover, if their purpose is to develop as much muscle mass as possible, they inevitably end up with a lot of fat as well since those efforts require you to eat at caloric support. These rapid gains eventually slow down and start plateauing once the body has adapted to the new changes in your life, and gains start coming at a much slower rate.

Steroids, however, do not care whether you are a beginner or an advanced lifter. Using these exogenous hormones can allow you as much as 30 pounds of lean muscle mass within a year. In terms of lean muscle mass, the difference that 30 pounds make is like night and day. To put it into perspective, it is incredibly rare to find an individual who can create 30 pounds of lean muscle naturally in less than three years. Therefore, if you know of someone who suddenly ballooned, they are most likely on steroids.

Steven Cao started lifting when he was 16 in an effort to gain more strength and power for his basketball ambitions. His progress between 16 and 18 was as expected; ordinary. However, when he reached 18, he suddenly became a ripped beast. Unfortunately, he suffered a hernia injury in the same year, which saw him stop lifting for about three months.

When the three months were over, he made his comeback, and it took him less than six months to make what looked like 20 pounds of lean muscle gains. Cao attributes these changes to hiring a professional coach to guide him through his workouts.

Nonetheless, regardless of how knowledgeable his coach might be, 20 pounds of lean muscle gains within a few months is otherworldly. The rapid changes that Mr. Cao made during that period make him highly suspect, especially considering that most experts advise against using anabolic steroids before turning 18, which incidentally happens to be the age at which Steven made his most dramatic transformation.

  • Gargantuan Traps and Delts

A set of 3D shoulders is one of the most coveted attributes in a physique. Nevertheless, the shoulder muscle group is also one of the most difficult to develop. There’s a reason why you don’t see too many people walking around with huge traps and delts; they just don’t come easy.

For anabolic steroid users, however, it is almost the exact opposite. You see, the shoulder muscle group contains the largest amount of androgen receptors in the body. Androgen receptors, on the other hand, are types of nuclear receptors that respond to androgenic hormones such as testosterone to stimulate muscle protein synthesis, thus increasing the rate of muscle growth.

Most muscle-building anabolic steroids are synthetic versions of testosterone and, thus, once injected into the body, increase testosterone levels in the body, hence increasing the rate of lean muscle growth. The shoulder muscles react best to the effects of testosterone since they contain a lot of androgen receptors, and this is why most juicers have tremendous development in their shoulder muscles.

Steven Cao has a set of shoulders that would put most anabolic steroid users to shame. He literally has cannonballs for delts and small hills for traps. And these muscles popped up at almost the same time when he got out of surgery. So, who knows?

The Verdict

While many other signs indicate steroid use, the ones used in this article are almost the deal breakers when determining the likelihood of someone being on the juice, especially if the individual displays both signs.

Another thing about Steven Cao that makes him even more suspect is the way he has chosen to handle steroid allegations. Instead of reacting to them or trying to convince people, otherwise, he chooses to ignore them altogether. Additionally, he has never attempted to claim to be natty in any of his posts, which only serves as vindication for those that claim he uses steroids.

But to be fair, Steven is not a mass monster, and his level of muscle mass is one that someone can attain naturally, especially if they use legal steroids. In fact, we believe that if Steven doesn’t use anabolic steroids, he is more than likely using legal steroids.

Despite being called steroids, legal steroids are actually plant-derived supplements that mimic the anabolic effects of steroids, but without the side effects. They are the most effective substance that you can safely use to enhance your rate of muscle growth. Legal steroids are definitely worth checking out.
